Ellis Spiezia isn’t here to play it safe. Back in 2020, while the world was on lockdown, he and his family packed up and left the US to chase his one true obsession: motorsport.

Now 19, Ellis is an American racing driver who’s flipping the script on how to build a career in racing. Starting with indoor karting and sim racing, he became the first driver globally to go all-in on electric motorsport—way before it was cool.

He’s not just racing; he’s shaping the future. Ellis is a development driver for multiple EV prototype projects and an outspoken advocate for sustainability in sports. With nods like the EVie Under 30 Star and BBC’s Green Sports Young Athlete nomination, he’s making noise on and off the track.

 

Whether it’s through media, education, or even the metaverse, Ellis is leading a movement to shake up the way we think about racing, tech, and the planet.

In 2024, he switched gears (literally) from racing circuits to flying through dirt in rallycross. With experience across single-seaters, touring cars, and rallycross, Ellis is on a mission to become the most versatile driver out there—and he’s gonna make sure you enjoy the ride.
